The East Coast of the United States, also known as the "Eastern Seaboard," "Atlantic Seaboard" or "I-95 Corridor" (referring to Interstate 95), refers to the easternmost coastal states which touch the Atlantic Ocean.

The Land: The east coast of the United States of America (USA) is comprised of the 17 States and the nation's capital. It is generally grouped into the regions:
- New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont
- Middle Atlantic: New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania
- South Atlantic: Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia.
It has a land area of 1,160,659 square meters, about 12% of the total US area.
